Friday 10 Ramadan : protesting police brutality on the anniversary of the Ramadan / Yom Kipur war

Friday, 10 Ramadan. The anniversary of the 1973 September/Ramadan/Yom Kipur war on the Lunar Arabic calendar. Egyptians are invited to gather on the Alexandrian coast in Cleopatra to protest torture, police brutality, corruption, authoritarianism and the emergency law. Breaking the daily Ramadan fast will take place, as the Facebook group announces, in Cleopatra with Khalid Sa'id's mother.

The administrator(s) of the Facebook group and event also revealed the results of a public opinion poll regarding the logistics and ideas and suggestions for the 10 Ramadan protest. It is not the first time the administrator(s) of the pro-democracy movement initiate participatory opinion polls and publicly announce their results. This one is perhaps particularly interesting owing to its Ramadan fervour. The results can be found here.
